As a child, I recall believing that when I was grown up, I wanted to have fresh flowers around the house at all times. My grandfather grew up on a farm. He later became well known in his home town for his beautiful roses. My father also grows many roses while my mother has hundreds of orchids in her collection.

I grow some roses and some orchids and various house plants, but I am better at spending more time just enjoying all of the flowers and horticulture in the area as well as what I find while traveling.

These Amaryllis' were beautiful in their own right, but I decided to change them a little more. Using the computer, I added lines and painterly qualities that give the flowers more of a drawn look. The colors are from the strength of mother nature. The only thing I really changed was the texture.
